TSA Lock

Travel Sentry™

Our bags are equipped with a Travel Sentry™ combination lock that allows airport security to unlock, inspect, and relock bags without damaging the bag or the lock.

The keys to the locks are only accessible to customs, so it is important that you write down your code to avoid having to break the lock and replace it. Note that the warranty does not cover broken locks.

All suitcases from EPIC come with TSA locks, and instructions on how to set your personal code are always included with the purchase. Upon delivery, the lock is preset to the standard code 0-0-0. If you no longer have the included instructions, we have compiled a general guide. Please note that the function and design may vary slightly between different models and collections.

How to set a new code on your TSA lock
To set a new code on your TSA lock, start by making sure the lock is set to the default code 0-0-0. Then open the lock by sliding the button near the keyhole toward the numbers to release the zipper pulls. When the lock is open, locate the small reset button on the lock. Using a pen or another thin object, press the button until it stays in the pressed position. Now you can choose and set your personal code by turning the numbers to your desired combination. We recommend writing down the code and keeping it in a safe place. Once the new code is set, slide the button near the keyhole back toward the numbers, just like when you opened the lock. You should hear a click, which means the reset button has returned to its original position and the new code has been saved. Finish by putting the zipper pulls back into the lock and turning the numbers to lock the suitcase. Feel free to test both the correct and incorrect codes to ensure the lock works properly.
Have you forgotten your code?
Unfortunately, we cannot provide any keys for the lock as they are only intended for airport security checks. If you want to try unlocking the suitcase yourself, you need to try all possible number combinations, from 0-0-0, 0-0-1, 0-0-2, and so on up to 9-9-9. As soon as the correct sequence is found, you can open the suitcase and set a new code. It takes about 40 minutes to go through all the number combinations. Usually, the right combination is found before then. If you are in a hurry and need to get into the suitcase quickly, you can break it open by cutting the sliders. Note that broken locks are not covered by the warranty. However, you can buy a new lock and sliders if an accident happens. Replacing a lock usually only requires a screwdriver. Remember to always write down and save your code to avoid these accidents in the future. Good luck!
